Help please
On older vehicles, when the signal wire to a gauge is grounded, the gauge will usually go the high/full position..
Based on that , I would be inclined to look for a grounding problem, meaning an absent or poor ground connection that is affecting the vehicle in several places.
The charge indicator going all the way to high would tell me to look at the charging system. Here again, a ground problem could be involved here.
