Default Install new chrome oil tube

What can I use to stop the oil tube from leaking before I beat the tune into the block.
Thanks for any input.

If it is safe to assume you are talking about the oil dipstick tube, You might try a LITTLE pipe joint compound around the end and make sure the tube is supported so it can't work loose. Also if it has a stop ridge , which most do, roll an "O" ring on it and then when inserted it should seal the joint.
If it is the oil fill tube you can try the same methods.

Yes it is the dipstick tube. It has a stop ridge, however the tube goes in at a 45 degree angle which will not let the ridge set flush. 66 Ford 390. I need something that can take the heat.
