Default Iso f150

Hey guys, new to all this forum stuff so take it easy on me if I have goofed up lol. Came here for help, bottom line is I want a truck. I have roughly $10k to work with, I know this isn’t a lot when it comes to these trucks, trust me I’ve seen. I need some suggestions though, would my money be better spent on a ‘09/‘10 with higher miles, or getting a ‘90 - ‘96 for cheap and using the rest of my budget to fix it up? Biggest thing to keep in mind: I’m a college student, time and money aren’t my strong suits as of right now. Thanks for any suggestions y’all might have, sorry again if I’ve messed up somewhere!

Welcome to the site..
The mid 90’s trucks were awesome builds IMO. Simple, reliable if cared for..
The options and comforts available on the later builds are nice too.
But for a base line workhorse, that the DIY guy can have fun with, maintain at a reasonable cost with just basic tools, I’d gravitate to a “lowest mileage” possible mid 90’s during a search. Not someone else’s project, but possible grandpas old truck that the family is selling off. Nothing wrong with a higher mileage late model, as long as it’s service is documented, not a n extended towing/hauling life, dirted or lifted, gauged etc, meaning how it’s been treated like more so commuted as a mileage builder.
Either way,, good trucks.

But do you think staying away from the ‘04-‘08 is a good idea or are they worth the money? I’ve just seen so many bad reviews on them I don’t know which route to take
