Default Please Help with 97 Explorer Sporttrac

I went to get my alignment fixed on my 97 Explorer Sport and they said that a certain "spindle" was bent, and then he said something about a ****?
or possibly rod?
i was wondering if this could be the tie-rod? or if there is any other spindles i should know about that are on the front end. He said it is supposed to have an angle, but when looking at mine it is straight up and down (so its bent).
Im not sure what exactly he was talking about and i want to buy the part and get it fixed but looking up a spindle on parts websites was no help.
Please let me know if you have anything in mind that it could be, thank you!
