Restoring a '77 Ranger XLT
I have a 77 Ford Ranger XLT that I bought in 1977 in Alaska. I am in the process of restoring it and when we took out the instrument cluster plate that holds all of the instruments, it was so old it crumbled. We threw it out but never recorded the part number. I purchased a new one through LMC but the instrumentation plug would not fit the port on the plate. Sent it back and bought a different one. Same problem. Now LMC says they cannot help me. Is there anyone out there that has a solution? A different vendor, maybe?
You might want to make sure that the truck was made in the U.S. and not in Canada. For some reason if it was made in Canada the parts for it may have to come from there as well. I have found that there is always something different when dealing with parts for any vehicle made by Canadians
