I have what I have been told is a '95 or '98 Ford school bus frame. The body was removed. Can anyone tell me where the vin number is located at on the frame? I have checked where a couple of folks told me but was not able to find it. Thanks for any info and advice.

I don't really know. It is a full size school bus frame. Possibly 550, It has a cummins diesel. Automatic. Sorry I can't provide any more info. But I can't find anything. Thanks.

 

Some manufacturers placed the VIN on the chassis rail driver's side top just over the front wheel location and some were on the inside in the same general area.

 

Thanks. I have checked the top of the rail. Will check the inside. Hopefully it is there.

 

A conversion may carry a/their serial number, but Ford doesn’t stamp the frame with a VIN ...
