I would like to thank minnesotamike again for his help.
but ran into a different problem after I took everything
apart. The latch (ford Part # 43150) was broken and
they wanted $105 to $118.53 + tax to replace
[including the [B][I][B][I]actuator] which I didn't need!
Does anyone know where to locate just the latch?
I do not like paying for parts I do not need. Thanks.

 

You're welcome. I'd make some calls to a salvage yard. They should have one or be able to locate one for you.

 

Hi, I have a 2004 Ford Freestar. I have trouble opening the back door (trunk door). I opened the little square and tried everything but it just won't open. Does anybody have a clue how to open it? Ford wants $100 just to have a look and will charge me over and above once they fix it...no wonder people buy foreign and I have always bought Norh American
