Did you look inside the small square access hole on the tailgate and try to trip the white plastic lever with a screwdriver?

I have my door trim off my freestar. My door is power lock, manual lift. It is locked shut. If you figure out how to lock yours, please let me know. Maybe I can use it in reverse to unlock mine. Lift gate is closed.

It is a Ford and you must expect things to go wrong, this is why people buy foreign cars. 61000 miles, 3 transmissions, radio, back warning, front suspension, the list goes on

Please someone send info on hatch handle coming off in hand
