Welcome to the board. I'm not sure if this will help, but you can try. There is a small 1" x 1" access hole near the inside handle. Pop the cover off and try to locate a white plastic lever in there. Try to move the lever to the left with a screwdriver. You could also look to see if there is a cable attached to the lever. If you don't see the cable, then it probably broke or disconnected. In that case, I'm not sure what the best solution is.

My 2004 Ford freestar rear lock hatch latch assembly is broken and needs to be replaced. Does anyone have a schematic of the assembly or removal instruction?
