Default Camshaft synchronizer?

I just replaced my camshaft synchronizer on my 4.2. it's working better however it still sputters while reaching the 4000 rpm mark then it catches and fixes itself. What could be causing this. Im thinking the lack of oil supply 🤷🏻. What should I do?

Some engines have a REV-LIMITER and that may be what is happening.

Quite a few engines have had a connecting rod go out the side , one of the benefits of too high RPM., not necessarily in neutral, lol.
