Default Message center and no steering wheel buttons

I just got this 2006 freestar. All fluids changed and tire pressure checked now the message center still shows it’s messages I researched how to reset it however all I find is the “setttings” button on the steering wheel. My steering wheel doesn’t have any settings or buttons anywhere around the steering wheel or dashboard. Anybody an idea on how to reset this? It’s driving me nuts that I can’t figure it out

Should be to the right side of the steering wheel just below the gauges.

You stated "the message center still shows it’s messages" which would be more than one.. How is it displaying multiple messages? Is it cycling thru them by itself?

That.s weird. There has to be a reset button someplace. Have you taken it back to where you purchased the van since you just recently bought it? How about to a Ford dealer to have them see if they can find it?

I have taken it In to ford their technicians were clueless I guess I might küsst have to live with it. I’m starting to think it’s an aftermarket steering wheel and the connections are somewhere behind the steering wheel. I thought maybe somebody might know a trick to get it erased everybody has been telling me there has to be a button. But there are literally no buttons. 😑

It could be that somebody replaced the gauge assembly to add the message center. Is there even a filler on the trim strip that goes between the steering wheel and the radio section? Normally if there is no message center there is a filler that goes in where the 3 button control for the message center goes.
