Transmission Replacement and PCM problem
I have 2004 Freestar Limited. I replaced my failed transmission. It didn't work until some parts were renewed and few repairs. Not long after it worked the car could not even start. Then the PCM was heating up and lost communication with the diagnostic tool. I was told I need a new PCM
I saw a pre programed PCM through eBay and sent mail on my issues, they told me that my replaced transmission will not work with the programming as they would programe it only based on factory settings.
Please I need directive on what to do next. Can a PCM be programed with my new transmission or do I need another transmission and PCM altogether?

You might consider having a dealership or whomever you choose that has access to the info and tools start at the beginning and reprogram the entire system..
