2006 Freestyle Tire Questions
The Continentals that came on the Freestyle have warn out. They are down past the wear marks on only 30K miles. I wanted to replace them but there are not to many options available. The stock size is 215/65/R17. Can I use 225/60/R17? A whole new world of options opens upif I canswitch to the 225/60/R17s - more manufacturers, more models of tires, etc.......

RE: 2006 Freestyle Tire Questions
I am GoodYear shy. I currently have goodyear eagles on a escort zx2 and they stink in the rain. When the road is wet, it is like driving on ice. I am done with goodyears for a long long time. Don't get me wrong - thanks for the suggestion!!!! Actually, I ordered Yokohama AVID TRZ from TireRack.com in the stock size. My cousin had a set of Yokohama's on a '98 Mustang and he like them a lot - so I decided I would try them. Who knows.
Funny story about my cousin's Yokohama's. He traded his wife'slittle barking dog for them. His mother-in-law purchased the wrong size and she loved that little loud dog so he traded without his wife's permission. That did not go over too well with his wife. Anyway, he got a good set of tires out of the deal and a quiet house!!!!

Hello,
Don't know if you can change or not. I went with Yokohama YK520's P215/65R-17. Tire is quiet compared to the OEMs. Got them at Discount tire. Have about 30K on the tires now and have plenty tire life left.
YMMV

Yeah, I like the Yokahama's I got. They are quiet and they handle well. They are wearing like iron. They look like they are new but they have about 20K on them - my wife drives a lot. They are good tires.
