I have a 2009 vr fusion. The problem started when it would start. It wouldn't turn on at all total silences. I took the key out and tried again the car started but the engine light came on. Drove the car today and it cut totally off. NO power to anything. I couldn't steer the wheel and no brakes. Took a minute got the car started again. But it did it again, had to use the emergency brake to stop. The computer pulled code U0100 googled it said computer miscommunication? any ideas?

 

This may be a little more than you are equipped to handle.You will need an up to date scan tool to check the reason the PCM and the rest of the vehicle are not "talking to one another".It could be a short, an open in the system or a faulty module in the network.
It gets a little complicated and usually requires special equipment like wiring diagrams , TSB's etc.,to locate the problem area.
