2014 fusion titanium ebrake light
Bought 19 days ago. I've already had her in the dealer services 3x. For this same issue.
The parking brake light will come on when driving and stay on. It will occasionally go off for several miles and come on again.
Code b1078.
The dealer has replaced the switch and a plug... and checked connections... replaced a level something in the resivour. but when he thought he had it fixed today, he went to drive it up for me and the darn light came on again.
Told me he had a sharp mechanic look it completely over and he's sorry...
They let me drive it like this though, should I be worried?
What else could this be!

still
Been in the shop over 10 times now. The last time in the replaced the brake fluid resivour again. P brake light still comes on.
Had a nail in a tire and wound up replacing 2 tires... still this light keeps coming on.
I can be driving. Braking. Or in park.
I'm so frustrated.

As you are aware , everybody makes mistakes and possibly the tech was a little busy and rushed which is not uncommon.
Something you can check if you want to,
look at the brake fluid reservoir and look at the fluid level . It should be near the top.If not, there may be a brake fluid loss and the fluid level sensor is reporting that.
Also , there could be a problem with the parking brake warning circuit which lets you know that the parking brake is not fully released. Sometimes, just adjusting a sticking switch corrects the problem. It is after all, a warning light and should not be ignored.
