Unhappy 2018 Ford Fusion No air coming out

My car hadn't been driven for a year and a half, and the battery isn't working, so I went to ford to get a new battery. After they are done with it, on my way home (A/C is working while fan speed is at 1), I turned up the fan speed, then no air is coming out whatsoever, no cool air, no hot air. I thought that was weird, so I restarted the car and it still didn't work. Second day, on my way back to ford since I think maybe it had something to do with the changing of the battery, as well as the 20,000 miles service I did along with the battery. I explained the situation to ford, they check it, A/C is working again, they say 'we can check it for you, but there's nothing wrong with it we cant do much.' I was like okay, we can do that. Basically in the end, the A/C gave up completely, and ford said they need to change the entire HVAC to fix the problem. I feel like Im getting ripped off, so I'm here to seek help, besides just giving my car to someone I don't know and telling me what they want me to know. Sorry if the storytelling is a bit hard to follow, my grammar isn't the best.

If the dealer cannot duplicate the issue and there are no HVAC fault codes present theres not a lot they can do.

You say that the system didnt work for you but did work for the dealer and then say the AC gave up completely, can you expand on that so its clear what the original and present issue is.

Welcome to forum. Your car hasn't been driven last 18 months; likely it sat outside? So the fan turns, and you can hear it?, but no air comes out.

It could be that a mouse built a very good nest in the air duct work around the fan and blocked the air flow. This has happened to several cars that I've owned and parked outside in my very rural area, just not to my Fords cause I now can use a garage. In my cases the air flow wasn't totally blocked, but I didn't give them 18 months to work on building a deluxe tight plug of a house!

Luck, if this is the cause it's fixable - just remove the nest by getting to the duct work.
