Draining battery
I have a 2010 ford fusion and the battery keeps draining I notice after I turn the car off the fan that keep the engine cool continuously runs and the next day the battery is dead this battery is three months old I got a inspection he told me the battery wasn’t put in right so I’m so confused on why this continues to happen help
There may be more than one problem.
Some vehicles required the vehicle computer that the battery has been replaced. This was to prevent the new battery from being over charged..
The cooling system needs to be checked to to make sure it is getting the right info from the sensors.
The cooling fan should shut off when you shut the engine down. Some vehicles will run a pump to cool the turbo if it applies to your vehicle..
What needs to be checked is how and why the cooling fan continues to run. It could be a faulty relay or maybe a computer problem
..
This can be easily verified by a tech with some experience.
.A good shop with some electrical background should be able to chase down the cause.
