I have a 2014 Fusion Hybrid with 115K on the clock and it has started a whine from the transmission. It is intermittent and sounds like a power steering pump going bad or sucking air. Again it is intermittent but when it does happen these conditions always exist: main one engine is on; the car is stopped or at low speed (belt in high ratio).

The car has been routinely dealer serviced and was serviced a week or so before the sound began.

Any ideas?
