Default Problems after door replacement

Hi,

My daughter’s car (2010 Ford Fusion) was involved in a wreck a while back, the driver’s side door was dented and the door was replaced to make the repair. After a couple of days my daughter noticed the front passenger door window was not working, I took it back and they swapped out the control switch and that didn’t fix it, then they told me it was a computer input problem and they weren’t responsible, I had already signed the release so I figured I was screwed and had no recourse. Later she also found out the keyless entry didn’t work and they didn’t swap out the door lock so the key won’t open the door either.

I understand why the door lock doesn’t work but can anyone explain how the driver’s side window control works and the keyless entry.

The window motor works, I swapped it out with the back window motor and it works in the back door, checking the voltage on the passenger door window switch it has 12vdc but no ground, there appears to be no other problems with the window. Does the driver’s door switch the ground? Is it hard wired from the driver’s side or go through the computer?

The keyless entry pad is lit up but does not work, does it need to be programmed or reset?

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

BWC
