Default Door/Window Issue

2001 ZX2. The driver door started shutting funny a few weeks ago. It makes a "clunk" when you slam the door. I looked at the bottom of the door where it presses on whatever that black button is and it shows that it is hitting in a different area from where it used to close. So, I looked at the hinges. Given where it is hitting on a new place on the button, it looks more like the back of the door "fell UP" instead of down, which is ridiculous.

I then noticed that at certain times, when the door is shut the window has a quarter inch to half of an inch gap along the back edge where the door closes. So basically, there's a gap between the window and the door seal that the window presses up against when the door is closed. It is only on the very back part of the door at the edge of the glass. If you roll the window down, it makes this "pop" noise as the pressure is released from the glass and then works normally. Sometimes it has the gap between the window and seal and sometimes it doesn't.

Someone told me that the cable for the window regulator is frayed and hanging up. They said that new window regulator assembly is needed and that I might want to replace it before it breaks and the window is stuck down in the rain.

So, I set about taking the driver door panel off the other day. I got a good portion of it off, got all of the pins out and yet I couldn't get the door panel to come off. I got to this point and saw no other screws or pins holding it o n. How do I get the entire door panel to come off so that I can see the window assembly from this point?

The top part of the door where the handle is to open the door, I got that part off and it has these little things on the back that catch onto the groove that they go in. I pulled and pulled, pushed up, pushed down, pulled out and everything that I could think of to get the rest of the door to come off. I didn't miss anything like screws or pins. Any tips on how to get the rest of the inside panel off?

Door panels can have some fasteners in the screwiest places!.
Some are hidden under the arm rest.
Patience and slow observation can usually help find the problem.
Once you find it ,you will never forget to check there again.
Sometime you need to remove a decorative panel and the darn fastener is hidden under there.
If an object got jammed in the lower front part of the door when attempting to close it it will raise the door up at the back , not an uncommon adjustment sometimes.
