Default 01 4.6L motor/computer Question for project vehicle

I am looking to use a 4.6L motor from an "01" Mustang in a project that I am building and I have a question regarding the computer. Is there any possible way to use the existing computer that was running in the car to run the motor by itself in this project. I do not need it to control the tranny and I will be eliminating the cats as well. It will just be running the motor, the sensors on the motor, the radiator fans, etc. Anything motor related. Thanks

I would think you'd be OK with it, but I'd hate to tell you that and be wrong. I would go on the MustangForums.com Mustang Forums website and ask them to be sure.
