Default 1970 Mach 1 Transmission question

I have a 70 Mach 1 351 Cleaveland v4 motor FMX Automatic Transmission,2nd gear does not work, I would love to put in a beefy Manual Transmission..what do I need? What would be the cost to but and install a manual zf5 speed? or to rebuild and beef up my FMX or C4? What are your thoughts on both.

Thanks

Default Mach 1 transmission

I had about the same problem with my car.I had a good c-6 in mine but it suppose to be a 4-speed. You will need a flywheel,p.p. clutch and the 4-speed cross member. I found a good 4-speed out of a boss 302.Maybe some other small parts. Hope this helps
