Default 1970 Ford Fairmont

Please help me with information on a 1970 Ford Fairmont. It is a restoration job and I want to bring it back to its original status.
I want to know what is the meaning of all the codes on the identification plates.
ID plate under bonnet:
S&A: 'MS', BODY: '34 KJ', SERIAL NO: '62242', SIDO NO: '238087'
ENGINE: 'S', TRANS: 'S', R AXLE: '3', TRIM: 'A2.', PAINT: 04'
ID plate under left front seat:
A.GOLD/BLK
F/MONT.4DR.SED.C/S.BUCK.62242

First off the fairmont went from 78-83.
second an S tranny code usually means A C3

what size is the engine? Do you know off hand if it was a Taxi/PI?

Did you go to your local FORD dealer and ask them?- they might be able to find out...
I'll bring 'em into work to look 'em up on our "Micro", and the old books.

I own a 79 Futura, so I know ALL about the car. It's been my passion for the last 10 years.
