Default 2008 V6 mustang

Hi
I hope someone has some insight into this. I have a 2008 V6 Mustang with 120K miles on it.
It seems to run 'sluggish' and gas mileage is horrible.
I dont have any check engine lights on.
I was wondering if this is common in these cars and what the fix would be.
Clean the fuel injectors? Throttle body? Replace spark plugs?
Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks.

It would be easy and fairly cheap to clean the throttle body, replace the spark plugs, replace the fuel filter(if its got one), toss a couple bottles of fuel tank additive in the tank. Drive like you stole it for a few days to wash the fuel tank additive through the injectors.

Obtain a scan tool device and see what the fuel trims are at. Dirty injectors, vacuum leaks, fuel pressure issues, fuel filter and many other defects will show up with the fuel trims. Look at various sensor signals which could be barely within operating specs and not set a code.Save your money for now on stuff that may not help and do some diagnostic work first.

Thanks for the reply.
Where can I find information on what the Fuel Trims "should" be? Is there a standard?

Zero is ideal(perfect) but doesn't occur very often. How often is something perfect?? Anywhere between minus five and plus five is very good. Readings highly negative mean a rich condition and a highly positive reading means a lean condition. Long term fuel trims are more meaningful than the short term ones which are constantly changing.
