just got a free 93 mustang need work but had a 351w and C6 trans in a F250 motor was crate 20,000 miles ago and trans was rebuilt at that time. will this swap work and what rear end ratio do I need. What mods will I have to do to the car. The car is loaded with all the extras and I want to keep it looking stock as much as possible.[&:]

 

New motor mounts, tranny cross member, probably a custom cut drive shaft. Heavier suspension up front to handle that massive motor/ tranny combo. New exhaustfrom front to back, unless you can get the trucks exhaust to fit under the car. You'll probably want to upgrade the fuel pump, a pump ment for a 4 cyl wont be able to keep up with the demand for fuel that the V8 commands. Also you'll probably want to put a bigger radiator up front to keep the larger engine cool. Other than those few minor things, it should be a sunday after noon instal. (thats e-sarcasm if you didn't catch it).

 

step one ,sell what you've got . step two , buy a V8 mustang. big savings on hand cleaner and band aids.
