Default 94 Mustang 3.8 hydrolocking and pouring water out of cylinders

Hey guys

My 94 mustang Recently just started running rough so i ended up parking it and when I came back to it a few days later i tried to crank it up and it cranked and stopped dead in its tracks and locked up so i checked the oil it looked fine but when i pull out my Spark plugs, water came pouring out on the ground like its been soaked down with a water hose i pulled another plug and the plugged had some black build up but nothing unusual anyone have a clue whats going on? I notice it started losing antifreeze but I couldn’t find any leaks but i could smell it strong from the front of the car while it was running im stumped on what it is and i dont want to throw money at it until i get an idea of what i should look at

Sorry to bring bad news but your head gasket likely is blown between the cooling passage and the cylinder. There are probably small amounts of coolant in the oil that washed down past the rings. Not enough to change the appearance of the oil. A very common problem with 3.8 engines starting in 1990 when Ford made changes to the head gaskets on these engines. My 1991 Cougar exhibited the same exact symptoms as yours. Coolant filled my # 6 cylinder which is the most common cylinder affected.Unless you do the repairs yourself, you will have to decide whether it is worth paying a shop to do the repair on your 94 Mustang. Hydrolocking an engine can also damage connecting rods.Doubtful if you were only cranking the engine.
