Default After installation of offset bushings shaft is too short

I have lowered my LX and now the steering shaft is too short. I have read that this may be due to collapsing part of the steering column. If this is the case how do I correct this problem?

The offset bushings should raise the rack in the frame not lower it. Not sure what year you have but there may be a pinch bolt on the lower steering shaftnear wherethe shaft goes through the firewall in the engine compartment that can be loosened to allow the shaft to extend or retract a little
