motor swap

Default motor swap

I have a 2000 mustang gt 4.6 just pulled the motor out had a bad knock.Looking at a 95 crown vic with a 4.6 police interceptor will this fit and will my intake go on it.

IMHO I do not recommend running that engine. Far too many differences. Way too many modifications. All for a 17-18 yr. old engine, no doubt with hard used high mileage, and prolonged idling.

Well i won't go that way then.I just found a 2002 mustang short block but it has a romeo motor and six bolt fly wheel. Mine has the windsor motor and an eight bolt fly wheel.Do you think that will fit and can i put my heads and intake on it.Thanks so much for the info.

Does the clutch disc fit onto the Romeo fly wheel exactly like it does on the Windsor? Like the clutch hub, the part with the damper springs, doesn't hit the fly wheel etc... Does the pressure plate bolt holes, and dow pin(s) match?

What are the numbers stamped on the heads you want to run? With those numbers we should be able to do some research, and cross-reference application.
