does the front suspension on the 06' 4x4's vary from past years or can I buy like an 04' lift and install with no problem?

 

There is a huge problem in the aftermarket industry with keeping up to date with the stuff they sell, I had a 2001 Ranger 4x4 and I bought a warn winch for it, in the books and actually talking to people at Warn they all said that they didnt have a Grill Gaurd for the 2001 Ranger and that they were not going to make one. I noticed that they made one for the 98-99 Ranger and asked if that would fit and was told no that it wouldnt, I bought the grill gaurd and winch carrier anyways, It bolted right up with no problems. I then started looking for a suspension lift like you, everybody at the time only had lifts for the 98-99 year models, so every place i called said no nobody makes one, I had a 99 ranger 4x4 before i bought the 2001 and noticed everything looked the same to me under the truck, so i bought the superlift 4" suspension lift and it bolted right up with no problems. I will say that you are probably correct about nothing being different, there is probably no difference in a 2001-2006 Ranger mechanically, it is probably all cosmetic, I will tell you this, call some place that has put suspension lifts on 2001-2005 rangers and take your truck and let them check it out just to be safe, I am 99% positive you will have no problems. I recently purchased a 2004 Ranger 4x4 and bought a warn grill gaurd for a 98-99 ranger and it bolted right up.
