Default '07 Front End Noise

I have a 2007 Ranger XLT 4X4 for a little under a month and just clicked over 1300 miles. Recently, a rubbing/grinding noise has developed in the front end. It happens at all speeds, acceleration/deceleration and coasting. Sometimes it it loud, sometimes its not. This is also an intermitent problem and does not happen all the time. Any ideas on what it can be?

Take it to the dealer!! It could be something as simple as one of the plastic/rubber splash gaurds have come loose and is rubbing on something. Those splash gaurds are not connected very well. I noticed that I have lost two of them on my 04 and have no idea when or where they came off. I just happened to notice them missing when I wash my truck. When you take it to the dealer MAKE SURE you keep all the paper work from every visit. Just incase it is something serious.

Definetly let us know what the fix was after it gets repaired. Im guessing it may be a bearing or hub assembly if it happens at all speeds.

I Finally made it to the dealer. It turned out to be the rubber gromets on the air box assembly- they were dried up. The technician lubed them up and the noise went away. if the noise comes back im going to bring it to the dealer and have them put new ones in instead of lubing them up every so often.
