Default 1997 Ranger Fuel Filler Neck

My fuel filler neck has a split in it. What's the best way to change it? Drop the tank or pull the bed and slide it back?

Any recommendation on parts? My local Ford service guy said the part is a little over $400. I've not verified the price but I've found some online for less than half that. I'd rather buy American and I'm willing to pay a fair price. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Have you check for a used part price locally or over the net. I have had good experiences with on-line salvage parts. I do not remember the website but you list your needs and a salvage yard will e-mail with price and shipping. And they are very good about taking returns for problem parts. I ordered an ABS module only (electrical part) it arrived with a crack in the cover. They Yard took it back and refund my money, and another Yard sent me module and pump.
