Default 2003 Ranger No Brake Lights

lights come on, turn signals work, hazards work, but when brake pedal is pressed, no brake lights, no high mount light, and cruise control doesn't work anymore. Replaced brake pressure switch with no change in symptoms. Have checked all fuses.

I have read a few places that the multi-switch in the column could be the issue; however, my thinking is that I would have symptoms with signals or high beams, both of which work fine.

Suggestions/Help?

Thanks!

Semper Fi,
Mike

Welcome to the site..

Did you check for power at the switch connector?
One of the things that happens on many M/Ys is that the wire breaks for constant flexing down by the connector.

actually, yesterday I pulled the cover off the column and found the power wire was lose that connects in to the multi-function switch. I re-crimped the connector and tested it, and all works fine.
