Default 2006 ranger fuel reset

I have a 2006 Ranger and I am constantly having to push the fuel pump reset switch. Once it is reset the truck starts instantly. Do these switches go bad? The apparent answer is yes. Can I replace this switch myself? How do I run down the part number. We bought the truck used from a dealer so we don't have a warranty.

Thanks in advance.

The inertia switch is a standard switch. Should be able to get on from a bone yard or dealer. Or you can get one here.

UCS,
Thank you for the response. I took the switch out last night and took it apart. It is bad. I could tap it with my finger lightly to activate it. Thanks for the link too.

Excndezunless the mileage is over 36000 or it was a re-built total, the truck does have a 3yr/36000 mile ford warranty. Safety systems and emission systems I believe are warrantied for 5yr/50000mile.
