After taking my pickup out of 4 wheel drive (push button), I sometimes hear a clicking sound from the hub like it's not totally disengaged. Sometimes it's miles after I took it out of 4x4. I do back up after taking it out of 4 wheel drive. Is that necessary? What's causing the noise? I have auto hubs.

The new auto locking hubs are only avabile from ford and I think there $300.[hr]Or you can convert to manual locking hub's for $150

 

I've been getting quotes for $225.00 to $275.00 for the hubs and conversion kit. Where is the least expensive place to order these parts from?
