Default 98 Ford Ranger 3.0 Liter Misfire

Got in my ranger the other day and noticed lack of engine power, as well as rough idle. Check engine light came on. Autozone diagnosed from the computer as cyclinder 3 misfire. I replaced all the spark plugs, cylinder 3's plug was pretty nasty looking, all others were fine. This didn't fix it. Next I replaced the ignition wire from the coil pack to the plug and that fixed it, for a few hours, then back to square one. Should I just keep moving up and replace the coil pack at this point? Thanks.

Yes! It was a bad coil pack, ended up replacing all the plugs, wires, and coil pack.
