Default ABS on 94 Ford Ranger

ABS light on son's new truck with 2.3 engine. Was told the rear end sensor almost always goes out. Replaced it and the light is still on. Any ideas? Thanks!

There have been times after the sensor was replaced , disconnected the battery negative for a few minutes and the light didn't return.
Usually after you disconnect any battery cables the computer needs a few trips to relearn your driving habits. May idle funny, but no serious problems.

Electric Components are highly sensitive elements, so please check out for wirings properly earthed or not. Remove the earth cable for a moment and start the supply to see if it helps.
