Hi,

Have a '93 Ranger (2.3L, 5-speed) that I just replaced the air filter in and now the a/c compressor will not come on (engage). I did not remove any wires (just the two vacuum lines that connect to the rear of the air filter housing) and have double-checked all wiring in the area and can't find anything disconnected or loose. I have also checked the 30-amp fuse, but that was fine.

Anyone know of a flow chart to follow to try and troubleshoot this problem?

When I press the a/c switch, the RPMs change (like it knows it's on), but no "click" or engagement of the compressor clutch...
