Default Charge Guage Low... Battery light on.

Changed the battery in my 1994 Ford Ranger...Accidentally hit the cable to the wrong posts...smoke at the solenoid...Truck still cranks but Charge guage is on the low end & the Battery light is on! Fusible Link??

Sounds like a good place to start. Just locate them, usually coming off the solenoid where the battery positive cable feeds the vehicle. Give each one a tug and if you have an open one it will feel like pulling on a rubber band. If all is ok then possibly the alternator suffered some damage.

Thanks! Checked the links seems to be no damage...Now no power to anything? Lights, radio, horn, nothing...Can crank the engine with a screwdriver at the solenoid but truck shuts off immediately? I dont have a clue?

The entire vehicle gets its power generally through one of those fusible links.
The power usually comes from the battery cable terminal at the solenoid, through a fusible link then into a fuse panel inside the vehicle. From there the power is directed through individual fuses to the circuits they control.
It sounds like you have no power getting into the fuse panel.
You can confirm this with a test light or a voltmeter.
Do you have access to either one of these?
How many fusible links did you check?
