Default converting my 2wd to 4wd

ok here the thing i have a 91 mazda rx7 II lots of mods thats not the problem though
i got this 94 ranger for a winter car but its olny 2wd before i had the ranger i had a explorer that i rolled over and went wheelin with all the time and i want to do it with my ranger i just cant make it as far as i used to be able to on the trails.
Ihave completly stripped my explorer down for parts and i am thinking about making my ranger 4wd with explorer parts they both had 4.0's and the 4wd worked fine in the explorer
my question is can it be done and what do i need to complete it if any thing?

thanks alot guys

More than likely not due to the fact that 2WD and 4WD chassis are different. Check and see if they are the same before dumping money into it.
