Default Coolant Teamp sensor under intake manifold

So I have a 4.0L Ranger from 2002. One of the temp sensors is bad. Of course it is not the one that is easy to get out, it has to be the one that is under the intake manifold. I do not see a way to get it out due to a lack of clearance to unattach the electrical connector or to take the whole thing out of the housing. Does anyone know how this is meant to be done?

Thanks
