Hello Rangers.......

My '99 Ranger has this thing where sometimes even if I close the door snug, the "Door Ajar" light remians lit and the dome light stays on for awhile, and eventually goes out. I don't see any of those old fashioned door closing contact switches, so how and why does the truck think my door is still open? Is there a relay I need to replace or something? Seems worse in warmer weather....

The switch is located on the door latch. You may try spraying the door latch with wd -40 to see if that will free it up . If it still gives you trouble you will have to remove the inside door panel to replace that switch. You push in and turn to remove switch. good luck
