Default Driveshaft Support Bearings

Hello All!

I'm new to this forum and I need help. Can someone offer suggestions as to where I can get a Driveshaft center support bearing?

I have a '96 Mazda B2300, 4cyl, with a 2 piece drive shaft.

The bearing itself is fine, but the rubber surrounding it is going south I think. I'm getting a funny vibration at between 60-70 mph and it shakes the heck out of the stick. (As well as the rest of the truck). I crawled under it today to check u-joints and they seem fine, but I was able to lift the dhaft about 1/4" or so and see light through the rubber of the bearing.

Any tricks to fix it, or parts dealers that carry them for a reasonable price would be greatly appreciated. (My local Ford dealer wants $116.00 for a stock one, and I have found a place that makes poly-urethane replacements for $123.00 total, but need to conserve cash right now). Thanks in advance!

$ 116.00 might sound like alot, but you should get it fixed before that vibration takes a toll on the bearings. Remember, that drive shaft is spinning at a high speed.

Good luck,

Ralph......
