Default Flex fuel is crap!

ok... if you are one of the fortunate ones that have a vehicle that is capable of burnin e 85 gas. i would not recommend it. i have the 3.0 in my truck and i do not get **** for gas mileage( sorry for language). i got 185 miles to a tank of that crap (regular 89 or 90 octane ethanol i can get somewhere in the ball park of 260 - 270 miles per tank). it was on the interstate going 65 mph and no hard driving or anything. just to let you know but that is my own opinion.

the truck runs the same with flex fuel in it. it just takes a hell of alot more fuel to make it go evidently. i really dont like it, the only thing that i like about it is that its cheap but the mileage sucks *****.

I don't know exactly what the ratio of alcohol is in that fuel but I do know that you need more fuel to air with alcohol than with gasoline. Like about twice as much. If you had a truck that ran 100% alcohol you would get only half the normal milage. That's why they only put 10% ethanol in regular gas if they do at all. So you have to figure the benefits of cheaper virsus less milage.
