Default Ford Ranger battery indicator light UPDATE
No after market accessories hooked up, but i have found that if i get the RPM's up high, (ie passing someone) the light will come on.

any ideas?

2004 Ranger - Had the same problem. When I got above 3000 RPM the light came on. Had the alternaator checked and it checked OK but when we removed the brush/voltage regulator assembly we found the rings on the rotor were out of round causing "brush bounce" A new rotor for the alternator fixed the problem.
