Headlight problem

Default Headlight problem

I have a 1988 Ranger XLT that i have replaced all the fuses in and both headlights. The problem is that the dims do not work, but the brights do. Anybody have a suggestion as to why and how to fix it really cheap?

re-wire the low beams? But most likely cause is bad hi/low switch.

could i just use a toggle switch to fix the problem?
