Key Will no Longer Fit Ignition
I recently purchased my grandfather's '94 Ford Ranger (the one he taught me to drive on). The key has never slid into the ignition very easily, but it took very little force and effort to get it in previously. Since I've bought it, I'm driving it much more often and thus sliding the key in the ignition more often. It had become increasingly harder to get it in. As I was setting off for work today, it would not slide in at all. The key is not perpendicular to the exterior of the ignition switch when I attempt to slide it in. It is almost sideways. I suppose there is something badly bent inside the switch. Can anybody help?
