MY 4L engine ticks all the time, especially when its cold. Even when its completely warmed up, its only getting worse. I heard that one cause of this might be because theres not enough oil. I'm already putting in about 5qts of oil. Should I try one more? I've tried everything to get it to quit ticking.

 

i would put more oil in if recomended. but 5 qts seems normal for 4L.
