Default Need some help with some problems..

Hi

My 1994 Ranger XL has some problems.
Cant seem to figure it out .

Starts ruff cold and starts reving from 600-1200 rpm .
Runs fine when warmed up.
Think its a vacuum leak but cant find it.
Got no engine lights on.
Can i read the codes myself easy?

Electric doesnt seem to be ok either,
lights come on sometimes, sometimes stay on all the time.
How you get the light switch off?
Will drain the battery like this, listening to radio with engine off.
Dont know where to start looking.

Diff leaks by the wheels on both sides.
Maybe the breathing hole is plugged ore so
and it pressed the oil out, just freaking fixed the cover lol.
Weird they leak on both sides,it was fine before.
Maybe somebody had these problems before,
and knows how,what and when.

Thanks for the help

Hi

My differential is singing to me.
Hoped it was the wheelbearings but no..
How do i know if its the carrier bearings ore the pinion bearing?
must be the pinion bearing /s
They seem fine but one of those must be freaked.
Read that its kinda hard to change pinion bearing.
So looking for direct bold on rear end.
What choices do i have.

Thanks for the help

Any similar model year ranger will bolt right up. I think an 8.8 is would be a upgrade for your model year, biggest issue speedo calibrations if the new rear has different gears the yours.
