02 ranger and overhead light stays on longer than usualafter engine is started. also the door ajar light on the dash stays on with overhead light. i am sure these are in conjunction. any insight to wherethe switch is located to replace or repair the problem?

 

The door ajar switch/s are located in the door latches.. They tend to collect debris, dry out and can stick/hang.. Trysprayingsome silicon or graphite ect. based lubricant into the latch/s, then open/close the doors to free up the switche/s pins.. Repeat if needed...
