I am wanting to start a new Ford Ranger project. I want to end up with a 2.3L 4 cylinder engine and a 5 speed transmission. So, if my truck has a v6 engine and the 5 speed, if I pull the v6 out and install the 4 cylinder will the bolt pattern match up or will I nee some sort of adapter plate? So, my question is will the v6 bell housing bolt up to the 2.3L 4 cyl engine?
